How we consult
There are two main forms of consultation: quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative consultation usually takes the form of questionnaires and focuses on statistical data while qualitative consultation is usually concerned with gaining more in-depth results, through discussions and workshops.
The main methods of consultation carried out by the council include:
Questionnaires
These can be sent out by post or by email, can be accessed through the website and can be carried out over the phone or face-to-face. If a questionnaire is sent out by email or by post, the Council is able to provide translated or large print copies if requested.
Focus groups/workshops
These are groups of between eight and twelve participants who look at an issue in further detail. Often these are held following a questionnaire, which will highlight issues which need to be explored in greater depth.
