Community Safety Partnership

The Community Safety Partnership is working towards making sure everybody feels safe.

The partnership is a strong alliance forged between all of the main local organisations involved in fighting crime in the Borough:

  • Thames Valley Police
  • Wokingham Borough Council
  • Berkshire Probation Service
  • Berkshire Health Authority
  • Thames Valley Chamber of Commence

The Community Safety Strategy

The Community Safety Strategy is an action plan for fighting crime and disorder.

It sets out a number of targets and objectives for reducing crime and disorder in the Wokingham Borough.

What measures can you take

You can play a major role by helping to protect yourself, your home and your community by:

  • Locking out burglary – fit extra bolts, door chains and other security devices to make it as difficult as possible for criminals to get into your home
  • Not leaving mobiles, laptops or other valuables on show in your car - leave it empty and you won’t find it empty
  • Making your area a no-go zone for criminals – if you have a neighbourhood watch scheme in your street then join, if you don’t then why not help set one up
  • Show community spirit – make a call to crime stoppers if you have information that you think could solve a crime before it happens again, calls are all in complete confidence
