Funeral arranging
Most people use a Funeral Director to undertake all of the arrangements needed to organise a funeral.
Finding a Funeral Director
You can find a Funeral Director through the following organisations:
- Funeral Standards Council
- National Association of Funeral Directors
- Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors
Non-traditional ceremonies
If you would prefer a non-traditional or non-religious ceremony, the Institute of Civil Funerals or the British Humanist Association can offer advice.
You can also find information about non-traditional, environmentally friendly and DIY funerals from the Natural Death Centre.
