Wokingham Borough Council runs two social clubs for children and young people with additional needs. These are managed by Bridges Resource Centre. Both clubs provide a happy, stimulating environment for children, and children have a say in the activities that they do.
Saturday Club
The Saturday Club meets fortnightly at Addington School in Woodley. It is split into two age groups, under and over eleven years.
Weekend Club
The Weekend Club is held at Bridges Resource Centre every three weeks, and is for children with high level care needs.
Eligibility to Attend
Bridges cares for children aged eight to 18 years with physical and learning disabilities. If you are interested in attending a club, contact your Social Worker or the Learning Difficulties and Disabilities Service. They will let you know if you are eligible for services, and will then arrange to carry out an assessment.
