Transfer to Junior School into Year 3

If your child is moving to junior school into year 3 in September 2010 you will be required to complete an application form distributed by your childs Wokingham Borough infant school in November 2009 or apply online when the website opens on December 1, 2009.

If you child currently attends a primary school and you wish to apply for a Junior School, please contact the School Admissions Team for an application form.

The deadline for applications is January 22, 2010 and you will be sent notification of a school place on April 16, 2010. 

Timetable

• November 2009 – application packs distributed

• December 1, 2009 - website open for online applications

• January 22, 2010 – closing date for applications and deadline for providing evidence of where you live to meet designated area and other criteria

• April 16, 2010 – parents sent notification of school allocated

• April 30, 2010 – deadline for parents to accept the place offered

If you wish your child to move to a primary school this will be considered as an in-year admission.  Consideration will firstly be given to any junior school applied for as part of the infant to junior transfer and you will be notified by April 16, 2010 of the result of that part of your application and if necessary ie if you have higher ranked preferences for a primary school, consideration will be given after the summer half-term in line with our admissions policy on in-year admissions for any higher ranked primary school.
