School admissions 2011 - 2012

Wokingham Borough Council is the admission authority for community and voluntary controlled schools within the Wokingham Borough area.  For voluntary aided schools, each school’s governing body is their own admission authority. We are consulting on the admission arrangements which will apply to children starting or transferring schools in the school year 2011-12.   

Voluntary aided schools

In the case of voluntary aided schools, many of their consultations will be outlined below but if you cannot see the school you are interested in it will be available to view on the school’s own website.  Copies may also be obtained on request from the school.  

Send us your comments - by 28 February 2010

Comments are invited from all parents and any other persons with an interest in the proposed arrangements. Comments should be sent in by 28 February 2010.

In the case of voluntary aided schools’ consultations, comments may be made directly to the chair of the governing body (or the chair of the governors’ admissions committee) at the school address. Comments received by the Council which relate to a voluntary aided school’s consultation will be forwarded to the relevant school’s governing body for consideration.

Consultation ends on 28 February 2010

All consultations must be concluded by 28 February 2010. The Council, and the governing body in the case of each voluntary aided school, will consider any responses received in determining the final admission arrangements. 

The final agreed admission arrangements will be published on this area of the website in April 2010.
