Pre-schools

We have a number of teams working with pre-school providers:

Workforce Development

The team works closely with Childcare providers to identify and plan recruitment, training and continuing professional development for the whole management and staff group. The team also offers business support and arranges a programme of childcare training courses. A hotline and web page put people interested in work in the childcare field in touch with providers with vacancies.
The team can be contacted on 0118 974 6197.

The Early Education Team

The team supports the development of good practice in early education delivered in a variety of settings.  Within this team, the Early Years Special Needs Service provides home teaching for pre-school children with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities. The team supports Special Needs Co-ordinators (SENCOs), in private and voluntary early education settings to meet the needs of pre-school children with SEN or disabilities. The team can be contacted on 0118 377 6438.
