Parent Partnership Service
The Parent Partnership Service provides information, guidance and training to parents, schools and professionals about special educational needs and partnership issues.
This service aims to promote good working relationships between parents, education settings and the Local Education Authority - LEA - through:
- A partnership approach within education
- Direct support to parents of children with special educational needs.
There is also an Independent Parental Supporter Service to provide direct support to parents of children with special educational needs. Trained volunteers support and encourage parents to feel confident to take an equal part in making decisions about their children.
