Children with Additional Needs - CAN - Network
The Children with Additional Needs - CAN - Network is a database of children in the Wokingham borough with any type of additional need, whether it is a physical, sensory, or a learning disability.
The database is used for 2 purposes:
- To ensure that families with children with additional needs receive relevant information about services available, even if they are not actually in receipt of any services
- To help statutory and voluntary organisations to plan future services and identify any gaps in current service provision for children with additional needs
Enrolment on the CAN Network is voluntary and is not required for the provision of services. Registration does not mean that a child or family will automatically receive a service from any of the statutory or voluntary agencies.
Benefits
The benefits of registering on the CAN Network include:
- A guide to Services for Children with Additional Needs
- CAN card
- CAN Passport - an 'All About Me' book created individually for your child
