Day nurseries
Day nurseries provide care and education for children under 5 years during the working day. Day nurseries are:
- Usually open between 8am and 6pm
- Usually open all year round
- Available for full or part time places
All day nurseries are registered and inspected by Ofsted whether they are privately run, community or workplace day nurseries.
The National Day Nurseries Association - NDNA - provides useful information and guidance for parents about choosing a Day Nursery. You can phone the NDNA on 0870 7744 244.
