Discover your Local Children's Centre

Wokingham's Phase 2 children's centres are being set up in seven locations around the borough, and will be providing children in the area with the best possible start in life. Each centre has been running services from suitable venues since the end of March 2008, even where the building is not complete:

Brambles Children's Centre

 

Located in Wokingham Town East, fully open. Read about Brambles Children's Centre.

 

 

Located in Woodley, fully open. Read about The Ambleside Centre.

 

 

Covering the Earley area, this Children's Centre will be located within the Loddon Primary School site. The building is scheduled to be completed in June 2008. The site will also be occupied by the Council’s Neighbourhood Team, who have already moved into their part of the building. The Red Kite Children's Centre will be a standalone centre, meaning a Neighbourhood Team will not be based there. It will be located in Shinfield, on the St Mary’s Junior School, and hopefully the building will be complete in autumn 2008.

 

 

Services will be runnng in conjunction with existing activities at the Rainbow Community Centre and from a number of other locations in the local area.

 

 

This Centre will be based on the Colleton School Site, and hopefully the building will be complete in Autumn 2008.

 

 

We are working with local partners on finding a site and developing a children's centre in Finchampstead.
