Children and Young People's Plan 2006-2009
Wokingham Borough's Strategic Plan for Children and Young People describes the shared vision and key priorities for improving the lives of children and young people so they can:
- Be safe and healthy
- Enjoy and achieve
- Make a positive contribution to their community
- Enjoy economic well-being
Parents have the key responsibility for, and influence upon, helping their children achieve each of these outcomes. The broader community, and particularly providers of services to children and young people, have a role to play in supporting parents in this task. In order to secure improvements in outcomes for all children and young people, Children’s Trust arrangements have been developed within Wokingham Borough between the key partners that deliver services for children and young people.
This single, strategic, overarching plan presents the shared priorities and improvement strategies for services affecting children and young people across the Borough.
