Although the Council doesn't keep an ‘approved supplier list’ or ‘standing list’ centrally, individual Service Areas may set up and maintain such lists as required.
Details of the current lists can be found in the attachment below.
Please read all of the following information carefully before expressing an interest to be included on a list.
Procedure for the Creation and Maintenance of Approved Supplier Lists
For service contracts that are not subject to EU (European Union) Regulations
For works contracts with a value under £250,000 per project
-
Each approved supplier list will be set up for a specific category of works or service and will be managed by the relevant Service Area.
-
A list may remain in force for a maximum of three years, and during this time contractors may be added (subject to passing relevant selection criteria) or removed (for example: due to poor financial standing).
Procedure for the Award of Work
-
Selection of a contractor from an approved list will be based upon rotation. At least three contractors shall be invited to provide a quotation for each works or service in order to ensure best value is obtained for the Council.
-
Please note that inclusion on an approved supplier list is not a guarantee of work.
Procedure for Expressing an Interest
-
Please see our current approved supplier list, below.
-
In order to request further information or to express an interest to join a list please email the appropriate contact within the Service Area (as shown on the attachment below).
