Food safety week

This year's Food Safety Week will take place from Monday 9 June to Friday 13 June 2008.

 

 

This UK-wide campaign aims to raise awareness of good food hygiene practice, encouraging local authorities, schools and communities throughout the country to focus on the best ways to avoid food poisoning.

 

The event organisers create imaginative, innovative and attention grabbing activities with hundreds of events organised each year involving thousands of people. Organisers are predominantly environmental health departments, health promotion and infection control teams in hospitals, schools and companies.

 

 

To coincide with Food Safety Week, our Food and Health and Safety Team are launching a 'Scores on the Doors' scheme. This scheme will show the hygiene ratings for food businesses in the Wokingham Borough.
