The Valuation Office Agency (VOA) carries out a revaluation of rateable values for all non domestic property every five years. The new rateable values will come into effect on 1 April 2010 and will be based on rental values as at 1 April 2008.
The VOA will be issuing most ratepayers with a paper copy of their new valuation, giving a breakdown of the details that have been taken into account, as well as publishing them online at the Valuation Office Agency website. Note that this website can be slow to load. There is a dedicated phone line at the VOA to deal with 2010 Revaluation queries. This dedicated number is 0845 602 2010.
