Superfast Broadband improvement programme

The Superfast Berkshire programme is part of the Government's Broadband Delivery UK programme to improve broadband coverage in non-commercial areas. The programme is backed by all 6 Berkshire unitary councils and the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). Visit the Gov.uk website find out more about Superfast Broadband.

Progress

Superfast Berkshire has now started Phase 3 roll out across East Berkshire with: 

  • BT (Lot 1) - mainly urban locations and  
  • Gigaclear (Lot 2) - rural locations   
            

This will expand Berkshire's superfast coverage to more than 99 percent.
